Meredith Spong is an Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, Compliance, and Lean Six Sigma expert. She has more than 17 years of experience in a variety of industries and geographies.

Currently serving as Vice President of Risk and Compliance at Continental Gateway Group and Director of Resilient Consultancy in Suriname, she previously held the role of Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager at KPMG Dutch Caribbean & Suriname, based in Curaçao. During her tenure, she led numerous projects across various industries including financial services, oil, utilities, healthcare, government, telecoms, and postal services.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in business economics with a specialisation in banking and insurance and a differentiation in management and information, Meredith has the following certifications: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Transaction Monitoring Associate (CTMA), PECB ISO 37301 Compliance Management Systems Senior Lead Implementer, Approved Instructor of the Business Continuity Institute, Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) and PECB ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems Senior Lead Implementer.
